Great Dane / Labrador Retriever / Mixed (short coat) Dog

Apollo the Dog needs a home

Apollo is a high energy dog. He does best with other dogs who can match this energy. Apollo really needs a home with a family that is active. A runner or a family that enjoys a hike would be ideal. Apollo definitely needs a good long walk every day to help harness the energy he has. He will come with good social etiquette and great leash skills, thanks to U.S. Canine.

Most importantly, we need to point out, that Apollo will come with a lifetime of follow up with U.S. Canine. Here is the list of benefits included with the Immersion Program Apollo has taken part in:

- Free follow-up lessons at the center for the life of the dog. If they can’t handle your problem via email or phone call, they will schedule a time for you to come back to the center for a refresher lesson at no cost.

- Home visits are half the normal rate.

- Complete treadmill training for your dog. (Yes, your dog will be able to exercise his or herself on a treadmill and enjoy it!)

- Eligibility to return for overnight boarding and doggie daycare – a service we only offer to clients.

- A happy, balanced dog!

While at U.S. Canine, Apollo has done great. Josh said he has displayed no human aggression, but does love to play, perhaps a little too much sometimes. That is why he needs another dog willing to match his energy. He is a standard, energetic adolescent who needs an outlet. Hikers and joggers will be welcomed with open arms!

Still, we have to limit his potential family to no small children, due to this energy he displays. Older, well behaved kids would be a great resource to channel his energy with though. :-)

Apollo was returned recently after being adopted over two months ago and has been at U.S. Canine for training pretty much since.

Before he was adopted out, Apollo was a huge snuggle bug and loved to run and play. He lived in a foster home with other dogs, cats and kids as young as one. There was never any unusual issues with him. He was a standard puppy.

Since he was returned by the family, here is what his caretaker has observed: Apollo knows how to sit. He craves attention. The majority of the time he is submissive and very curious. He loves to play and chew on his toys. He listens well and wants to please. He is a baby that hasn't learned his proper place in the world. He is a typical curious puppy with alot of energy and needs consistency. He does't know how big he is, loves to cuddle and he does well in a kennel. He walks well on a leash and rides comfortably in a car too. Basically, this boy is a diamond-in-the-rough!

We are confident Apollo has so much potential! Street Paws just needs to find the right person who can discover this potential and help him find his happily ever after!
